Phoenix Park is an urban park in Dublin, Ireland, lying 2–4 km west of the city centre, north of the River Liffey. Its 11 km perimeter wall encloses 707 hectares. It is recognized as the second largest park in Europe.

The Wellington Monument
This monument was built to celebrate the victories of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington.

The deer
In the Phoenix park, there are animals which we call deer, these animals have been present in Phoenix Park since the seventeenth century when they were hunted for sport by the gentry of the day.

The present-day herd is descended from those deer who were chased for enjoyment and hunted for food.
They are wild animals and Some 200 fawns ( young deer ) can be born each year in Phoenix Park.
